Carl Fasser PA Student Scholarship FundEstablished in 1996, the Carl Fasser PA Student Scholarship Fund provides needs-based scholarships to current physician assistant students at Baylor College of Medicine.
Carol Sammet Legacy FundCarol Ann Sammet was a student in the School of Health Professions Orthotics and Prosthetics program, class of 2020. Carol was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and fought bravely until her passing surrounded by family and friends at her home in Florida. Carol's warmth and positivity made a lasting impression on her classmates and faculty, who supported her, and each other, through this difficult time. Her colleagues and patients adored her contagious smile, and she was deeply committed to her chosen healthcare profession. The Carol Sammet Legacy Fund honors her legacy by providing support to health professions students with emergency financial needs.
J. David Holcomb Memorial FundJ. David Holcomb, Ed.D., Professor Emeritus and Dean Emeritus, was the founding dean of the School of Health Professions, following thirty years of distinguished leadership of Baylor’s Division of Allied Health Sciences in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. We owe a debt to his visionary leadership in education, research, and scholarship that set a standard of excellence that sustains the national reputations of our health professions programs across affiliated institutions and the nation. This fund in his name provides discretionary funds for special projects in the School.
